OK. Here's a bit of frustration that I've been going through, for years at this point. The year is 1962. The engine is a 413 with A/C. The bolt in question is the one that holds the alternator adjusting bracket to the front of the engine (not the bolt that holds the bracket to the alternator itself). Anyway.that bolt keeps snapping off! I have to constantly drill the threaded portion out of the bolt hole. I've tried a normal bolt from a hardware store. I've tried a hardened bolt with a flat & a split washer. I've cleaned out the threads before screwing the new one in, each time. I just don't understand why the head of the bolt keeps snapping off. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks! Matt Allyn [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
