I second that notion about bad brake hoses.
I had done everything I knew how -- but still had severe pulling to one  side.
Then I replaced both front hoses and now had perfectly straight  stopping.
Another bonus was that I also had more braking power for a given pedal  
pressure. This indicated to me that both lines were restricting brake fluid flow  
with one being worse than the other.
