Hi Richard, The recessed design of the letters makes it easy to touch these up. On my 1960 I just used a tube of plain old artist paint. Titanium white to be exact. I dabbed it into the lettering of two buttons that needed it, then wiped off the excess with a paper towel. That worked really well because the towel only wiped off the excess around the letter and the paint stayed in the recessed part of the actual letter. You cannot tell which of the buttons were touched up and which are original. I used the same paint to touch up the lettering on the parking brake handle, but that was nowhere near as easy. It required a lot of patience and a very steady hand.
