[Chrysler300] Carbs running too rich?

Thanks to Gary, John, John and all. It seems that a carb adjustment has
worked miracles with respect to the backfiring and rough running at low
speeds. All the irritating things that happened on my trip to Pigeon Forge
are gone.

I failed to tell you all that I have the electronic ignition replacement for
points/condensor, so that wasn't the issue, as many suspected. Sorry. I
plan to have the carbs rebuilt over the Winter so that may resolve any other
fuel issues.

I am still only getting about 12 mpg on the highway at 75 mph, so I figure
it may just be rebuild time.

The only other issue I have is an intermittant vibration which a friend here
thinks is a transmission mount problem. Don Verity rebuilt the transmission
and it is great. Shifts crisply and seems to be just fine. Usually, the
vibration is when I first take off when everything is cold and occasionally
other times. It is a rapid vibration and not too severe, but noticeable. I
have new/rebuilt everything in terms of rear end, universal joints, springs,
shocks. Any suggestions?

Thanks again for all your help.

Tom
