I have the same prob with my 64 300K. I have learned that putting it in neutral while idling after starting takes care of problem and I feel it is a safer way of handling it. I had my son move the car after sitting for a day or so. He had it in gear without letting the converter fill up and he launched the car down the driveway leaving some rubber he wasn't preprared for. Good thing I have a long driveway and he was pointed in the right direction!!
