Re: [Chrysler300] Braker 1-9

One other item I neglected to mention in my e-mail of 01/09/06 regarding the master and booster for the 1955 is the following. On Chrysler applications with a single carb the hose from the booster to the manifold exits on the inboard side.

Years ago when I purchased our C300 this is the way it was set up and I always thought what a poor design because the fitting interfered with the DeltaWing. One day I was reviewing my Classic Motorbooks Chrysler 300 1955-1961 Photofacts book and noticed an engine shot of Robert McAtee's (owner of the 1960 300F 4 speed record setting car driven by Gregg Ziegler) 1955 C300 with the hose exiting on the outboard side. This photo can be viewed on page 19 of that book in the first printing.

The light came on in my head and within a few minutes mine was made the same by just flipping the front booster plate 180 degrees. Then I had the dent repaired and the assembly refinished. I'm convinced this was the correct set up only for C300's alone.
