A $7 spray can of craft store (WalMart has it) pottery/stone-look texture
paint + a $4 spray can of good satin black paint makes a very clean-looking
padded dash for us po' folks. Granted the separate speedo pod area piece has
a visible seam, but looks great to everybody without a points sheet in their
hand. The sanding prep/spraying process is much easier with the glass out,
but do-able with the glass in -- with mucho masking.
The finished look is very pad-like, and the $savings over a Just Dashes
headache can be applied to future Goers purchases.

I bought a just dashes pad for my 57, and while it was the right shape and
texture, the speaker grille area was not the correct shape (thankfully too
small) and it had no provisions for the rear view mirror.
It was also a bit of a bear around the push buttons and at the far end of
the passenger side.
