Richard; Try unhooking the arms from the glass. Then see if the glass moves up and down in the tracks freely. With the glass unhooked or out, see how easily the regulator works. Usually, bent arms and twisted regulators are related to dirty/bad tracks for the glass. The glass wont move, so the torque ends up bending the parts. I've seen door panels move in and out when they're stiff like this.
