I would venture to guess they would handle quite well for a rear wheel  drive 
vehicle. Being raised in northern New York State, I remember my "61  
NewYorker being able to go most anyplace in town because I had REAL big  lug snow 
tires on it with extra weight in the trunk. Snow tires on the  front would help 
also.
