Hi John, Regarding the Antique Auto Batteries, they have 2 types RE: Wet batteries Epoxy type material, POLY TAR**. This duplicates the appearance of the old style tar material that got sticky, dirty and sometimes leaked acid, but without these obviously undesirable qualities. Re: Maintenance Free: Maintenance free (same technology as Optima) actually manufactured inside a regular looking battery case. This is different than the Tar Top which is a glue on case that fits on top of and around an Optima maintenance free battery. I thought I saw a dry/gel encased in a regular looking battery so it has the benefits of the Optima type and appearance of a regular wet cell. Just changed my order with Antique Auto Battery to a G27 Willard. Please note that they normally make G24s in Willard but they can and will make up the G27 in a Willard model with red caps for 1960 with the same arrangement of terminals as the Mopar battery. (Autolite is spelled that way, but we don't think it was so on the battery!! Maybe I better recheck the "Fun with Hyphens" book, eh Wayne?) Mopar is never mentioned in the AMA specs until 1963. Sooooo it seems like the most authentic battery available now is the Willard for our 300Fs. 300ly, Gil [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm Yahoo!
