Today I tried unsuccessfully to replace the neutral safety switch in my 66 300. I believe that the switch is the same as the 300L and maybe even others. It is a single post number that allows only cranking in Park or Neutral by sending a negative signal to the starting solenoid when in these two gears. Not NAPA nor my usually reliable 40's looking parts store, using only catalogs without computers, even listed the 59-68 Chrysler number. They do list the vacuum switch for the 58 but then are blank until 69 to 84 models. I did purchase a 69 version with it's longer height and with 3 pins on top and it does work properly and the center post shows a ground in Park and Neutral. Anybody aware of this shortage and have a source for the correct switch? [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
