Re: [Chrysler300] bumps on 300C rims

Tony Rinaldi and others interested

The two raised bumps are as you ask, namely about 3 1/4 inches apart either
side of valve stem, and sort of like ski ramp/jump, with the lowest side of
bump/'jump' on each side fartherest from valve stem - if you can understand
that - whilst the inside edges of bumps nearest the valve stem is near
vertcal if one runs one's finger up against it- bit bigger than couple of
match heads?

Rims from all my 300Cs (one Dec 1956, the other two either mid march/april
57 from memory ), all have these same bumps/humps near valve stem, and no
(far larger) raised humps near rim/bolt centre section, that would hold any
'non 300C' sort of hubcap that would be held by such humps there.

Hope this helps, hope your weather is better there than here, most of
Australia seems as if we are having a very cold dry start to our winter
here, and I am as part of trying to get value out of rego before it due
again, driving round in my 57 Tbird with top down getting lots of funny
looks at traffic lights, as if I might be crazy/stupid - you may decide for
yourselves.

Christopher
