Yeah, there was a recent interview in one of the collector car magazines (around April) with a guy who collects concept cars. I believe it is the fellow who bought the Futurliner and the Bonneville Special at Barrett-Jackson this January. Anyway the dude gets into hard to find one-off concept cars and resurrects them back to show status. He supposedly is dauntless until he commissioned a diving/salvage crew to locate the Andrea Doria with hopes to get the Dodge Plainsman. He found the sunken vessel but at a cocktail party shortly after was convinced by a metallurgist that he may find parts of the engine block and that would be all since the vehicle was submerged in salt water for 50 years (especially factoring in the lack of rust prevention inherent in the auto industry of the day). He subsequently cut his losses and didn't persue the venture further. 300'ly, ROB KERN ----- Original Message ----- From: <lettercars@xxxxxxx> To: <jfreddie@xxxxxxxxxxx>; <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, June 29, 2006 9:44 PM Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] Palo Alto > > In a message dated 6/29/2006 1:56:15 AM Eastern Standard Time, > jfreddie@xxxxxxxxxxx writes: > > > Roger: Thanks for the pics of the Ghia Coupe.
