What a great idea, thanks for sharing it with me. I have a parts K Silver Edition that I am dismantling and it will come in handy. I just wish I had this info when changing hinges on a 69 Pont Bonneville. If you know how long and heavy those hoods were (not to mention the thickness of those springs), you know what a dangerous job it is. I came up with a simple, quick and safe way to do it. http://www.simplexc o.com/auto/ hoodspring/ hspr.html No skinned knuckles, no chipped paint, didn't even break a sweat. Use at your own risk of course.
