Hi all: When I restored my F, the trunk lid insulation had paint marks on it where the painter obviously strayed from the metal. Also, there was no paint on the furthermost forward lower part of the lid. That portion you generally do not see unless you bend into the trunk and look upward. According to what John Characky told me, there was no paint there because the painter stood at the rear of the car and that portion was in a shadow so to speak. In other words, the painter did not take the time to bend over and spray upward to get that area.
