I just rebuilt my TF last year and the package you described sounds like a rebuild kit except for the clutch plates. One or two of those steel rings are ones that go on the imput shaft to stop any leak back from the Torque Converter. But excessive wear on the matting part could also be the problem. You never know until you open it up. I might be interested I have two TF I want to rebuild. The bad thing is are the rubber seals good now. How old are the kits?
