Michael, I found Sihilling Metal Polishing in Santa Ana, California to be excellent in terms of quality of work, quick turn around time and reasonable in price. They also work on bright-dipped anodized aluminum trim pieces. Charles Sihilling is the contact person. The number for them is 714-543-7051. AAJ Brake in Portland has disc brake conversion kits for front and rear '55-'64 MOPARS with tapered rear axles. Ask for Roger. Their number is 503-890-1469. You can purchase separate kits for front and rear. I suggest you go for all four corners for the disc brake conversion. There is a proportioning valve mismatch when you just do the front with significant amount of pedal travel prior to braking which does not inspire confidence. This was the situation in the C. With the 4 wheel discs, there is very little peddle travel and the car stops like a modern car. Expect to pay for both deluxe kits from AAJ about $1400 plus shipping. The only thing not included in the kits is the brake lines for obvious reasons which have to be shaped by a brake shop/mechanic which can be done quite inexpensively and with ease. Both aforementioned firms accept major credit cards. I can't offer any assistance with your other queries. Good luck with your restoration & I hope to see you & the H at future meets! 300'ly, ROB KERN ----- Original Message ----- From: <choochooch@xxxxxxx> To: <chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, September 22, 2006 10:18 PM Subject: [Chrysler300] 300 H Restoration Help >I tried to sell this "project" a few months ago and when no one decided to > go for it, we made the decision to redo it ourselves.
