Information on the engraved "POWER BRAKE" pedal: fyi - I just looked at the pedal again - no part #, but he wrote '56 Ply' on the tape on back... so, there ya go! Perhaps it was standard on power brake-equipped Plymouths (and Dodges and trucks?) due to the lower likelihood of power brakes on the less expensive cars. And to give fair warning to an unsuspecting driver so they would not be shocked by the awesome stopping power of those Kelsey-Hayes power brake boosters. Thanks to all that confirmed that lettered power brake pedals have not been seen on 1955 Chryslers or Imperials (all but Windsors had power brakes standard, I believe).
