The Gibbs product is something I've never heard of before, but I have been using Kroil as a penetrant, and Kroil with graphite as a lubricant, for years. Based on what I've read on the site link furnished by Wayne, I don't think they are the same thing or even close. The especially surprising, and hard for me to believe thing, is that you can paint over it. How can yo be assured of the paint really bonding to the metal if you have a barrier of this stuff between the metal and the paint? I really would like to read more about it, and get additional feedback from users that have painted over it. I also wonder how it holds up to heat, because if it does, it would be a good choice for exhaust manifolds and exhaust system parts. You can get it through Eastwood or direct from www.kanolabs.com for about 1/2 of Eastwoods price. It loosened up two engines I had that were stuck. One hadn't run in twenty years, but I got it running with Kroil. I'm not sure this is an answer but please consider it. I have some on order myself but have not used it - new to me. I would think this could be effective for years by the claims they make for it. It can be found at a few dollars savings from the page I've linked which has free shipping. Some sellers don't have the free ship so you have to compare carefully. The Roadsters page will match any price you find. Does anyone have experience with this product and could comment on its effectiveness?
