>From my 300C Handbook in the Authenticity chapter The PN 1554043 mentioned are the parts in the eBay auction referenced by Paul H. Wayne -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SPARK PLUG WIRE LOOMING Chrysler gave considerable attention to placement of the spark plug wires on the early hemi motors. Their probable intent was to minimize shorting of the wires causing misfiring. It is an area the restorer need pay attention to for the same reason. There are four elements to stopping movement of the plug wires. The two ignition wiring covers (black covers across the valve covers), two styles of "ignition cable cover wire guides" (under the ignition wiring covers), and the two ignition wiring brackets (bolted behind the valve covers). Almost every car still has the long black covers over the spark plug holes and wiring on the valve covers. No problem there. Beneath the covers are two styles of wire guides listed in section 8-36-14 of the parts book. Most cars have all or some of the first style: six black "C"-shaped spring steel clamps which slide down into the spark plug tubes so the wires won't be pinched when the covers are bolted down. They are part number 1483579 and are needed in plug tubes #s 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. The second style, very often missing, is an "L"-shaped notched bracket which sits down over the rearmost post on the valve cover to which the wire covers are bolted. Each notch guides two plug wires out the rear of the wire cover. They are part number 1554043. Finally two wire brackets (which we commonly term "looms") are bolted on the upper rear of each valve cover to support and guide four wires each towards the distributor. They are part number 1738030 right and 1738536 left.
