As I recall, the club judges do not deduct any points for any black battery
with original post connections and screw-in filler caps.  I stripped the
vinyl labels from a HD Group 2 battery and it looks fine.  Seems like it
would be simple to prepare vinyl stick on labels that emulated the original
battery exteriors.  Earlier feedback was that the reproduction batteries
looked ok, but did not have a good life.

Original-appearing plastic no-name battery cases are available to house the
new dry-type super batteries.  For the Optima battery info, see:

I think the Packard Club was peddling the battery cases, but I was unable to
open their catalog.

Thanks everyone for your help. Guess I'll stick with my Group 27. Thought I
needed to go to an original reproduction type. I like to keep everything as
original as I can. But, it sounds like it's not really necessary, in this
case.
