I rationalized it this way: It costs $100 more for the dry-cell battery, and about $400 to repaint my hood. For me, it was a no-brainer. Mark Absolutely correct Mark. I had a lead-acid battery cell boil over on me at the Williamsburg meet and by the time I realized that the cell had boiled over,, the paint under my hood, along the inner fender and half the suspension had been acid washed.
