Hi Mike, I have probably done it the expensive way. But Chris Bielby who you will see contributes to the list regularly, is from S.A. state (South Australia), were a number of US Chrysler car importers are based. He could give you some leads on fellas trying to fill containers. We also have a monthly old car trader book called JUST CARS. All the guys importing cars from the US advertise here. It is the best old car mag in Australia presently. The link is: http://www.justmags.com/private.htm Contact these guys and they could give you some leads on most US car importers and sellers. I've had a fella ask me to send some large 300 parts to Australia. I'm finding that the USPS size limits are easy to exceed --- and tres expensive anywhere close to the max. Thought I'd try to help find any list guys who might fill containers here in the US destined for Australia...? I know those smart Fins, Danes and Swedes have developed the containership pipeline. We just ship to a US address guy who takes care of loading the boat. Anything such dealio out there for the Aussies? Thanks. vath -- to the .au boys: Fitting subject in that I just had a 413 delivered to my house in the back of a right-hand drive Valiant UTE. Not too many here in GA! -----Original Message----- From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:Chrysler300%40yahoogroups.com> [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:Chrysler300%40yahoogroups.com> ] On Behalf Of Marianne Sent: Tuesday, May 29, 2007 9:02 AM To: kraus300@xxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:kraus300%40comcast.net> Cc: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:Chrysler300%40yahoogroups.com> ; Sean Morgan; Stuart Morgan Subject: RE: [Chrysler300] Highway HI FI ? Hi Jim, I have also replied to you both via the list and Comcast ISP. As I explained to Tony, for some reason, Comcast is one of the only ISP's I know in US that blocks Our Telstra ISP mail. Telstra are our big guys, like what Bell is to you blokes. I still can't work out why it does this. Otherwise I would keep in touch with many of you Comcast guys more regularly. Lets also see if it gets through to you direct, probably not. Thanks for the info. I have appreciated your help at times in the past Jim. I have visited that site, he doesn't appear to be a trader though? I would love to get one Jim, doesn't look like there are too many lying around though. $ 700.00 sounds good to me, but I am guessing it might be a little more if one pops up? Sean, Maybe you've heard of these sites by now- http://www.roadkill <http://www.roadkillontheweb.com/arp.html <http://www.roadkillontheweb.com/arp.html> > ontheweb.com/arp.html http://www.imperial <http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Accessories/HiWay/index.htm <http://www.imperialclub.com/Repair/Accessories/HiWay/index.htm> > club.com/Repair/Accessories/HiWay/index.htm I see the units on ebay from time to time (one was on over the weekend, may still be there). Looks like they sell for $400-700. Jeff Carter sells replacement foam pads for the turntable, a common repair issue. Once it gets brittle they won't play when the car is moving. I thought mouse fad foam was about right if you want to try 'em yourself. I remember a Forwardlook thread a few years ago that a replacement stylus is available. You have to have the right factory radio to power up and play the hifi. I know the 57 Chrysler search tune did it. There's a special plug-in on the back of the radio for the hifi harness. Last are also brackets to hang the unit under the dash. Not so hard to fabricate. Records do show up from time to time. Maybe $8-30, mostly 1950's easy listening stuff. They're more of a gee whiz factor. Not so good playing a tune on the road.
