Hi all; That is correct. I once bought a trade-in at the VW dealership where I worked, a Ford Station Wagon with 4 near new tires on it for $25.00. After about an hour of grinding with each wheel, the center holes were ground down enough to fit my "L". There is very little difference on the I/D size. Gave me another 40K for the cost of the wagon, I think I sold the wagon later for $50. Personally I've never tried this, but it is what I've been told.
