[Chrysler300] body mount rubber query and POR paint?

1) Anyone had any experiences, attempts, at replacing original rubber body
to chassis/frame mount items with say modern urethane ones - in paticular
say re '57 300C type cars?
2) and has anyone any long term, say 3-5 years plus, experinces of using the
American black POR 15 rust resistant paint on say frames/chassis, that have
been sandblasted back to clean metal before applying POR - in particular am
interested in whether it kept rust away - ie no rusting occured even
with/afterfair bit of wet weather use? (need not be 300 experiences, other
steel stuff will tell likey result re all 300s, other cars?)

I have found you have to be very careful re appplying POR 15, in (1) that
you do not poison yourself if applying with spray gun, and (2) that you do
not put it on in double coats or more, as it can (WILL!!!????) pinhole as it
has dried out !!?? So either you put on one bloody clever right coat, or
else risk poisoning yourself twice, by applying 2nd coat few days after
first has dried - (and good luck if you can work out where and how thick you
have already applied/missed, as second coat same color/look as first?!!)
The written instructions with paint are in my belief very misleading re
actual risk of poisoning yourself, plus how easy paint pinholes - sort of
defeating future rust preventing promised?)

Normally POR 15 over sandblasted frames such as pre '60 300s should be
excellent, an alternative to historically wrong (did not exist back when
300s were made?!) powdercoating, however am curious if others have any
experiences, thoughts, re their restorations?

Re uretane body mount rubbers - they would look wrong for say 300C, however
I am curious on any findings re how they being much firmer relates to what
this means re using car on normal and rough roads - re whether it bad for
comfort, plus maybe rattles, and harms body itself?

crazy weather still here in Australia - some parts really badly flooded out,
other areas not 2 hours away needing rain for dams still real bad - and here
in Adelaide, normally driest City, cetainly not 300C weather over last 6
weeks - drat it,

Christopher
