[Chrysler300] hood adjustment

Here is a question for the body experts.
This is for the 62 hood adjustment section of the service manual. Page 23-15
says:
"If the spacing is correct on one side of the hood but too little or too
much on the other side, loosen the bolts attaching the hood to hinge and the
diagonal strainer on the side to be adjusted. If the hood needs to be moved
out, insert a large screwdriver between the upper hinge plate and the hood
flange. Force the hood out as required while holding pressure on the
screwdriver, tighten bolts."
What is a "diagonal strainer"?
