I too see the decision as couched in what you want to end up with: a better score during judging, or practical efficient modern AC for the 21st decade. Classic Auto Air in Tampa, FL, who build and supply most of the components to the vintage auto AC market can rebuild or supply any part you need to go either direction. http://www.classicair.com/ My reason for suggesting them as the direct source is that when you have questions, they have the knowledge in house to help you. My experience is that ALL the other AC hobby suppliers are little more knowledgeable than what price they will be billing to you. There are better known names like Vintage Air and HotRod Air but where do you suppose they get the stuff they sell?
