But the power promised by the new HEMI® caused Cunningham to return to Le Mans with a team of specially built cars called C-4Rs, built around Chrysler's new engine.. Equipped with four single-barrel Zenith carburetors, dual exhausts, roller tappets and other racing modifications, the engine put out 325 hp at 5,200 rpm.
