Hi Brian, Are these universal wheels with slotted stud openings, or do they have round holes with tapered seats? The Cragers I put on my F were the universal design that take a lug nut with a straight shank and a shoulder. They make plenty of thread contact. I would not recommend putting longer studs in. 300ly, Don Verity ----- Original Message ----- From: brian hagen To: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, July 12, 2007 9:40 PM Subject: [Chrysler300] Need new wheel studs I replaced the wheels on my 63 Chrysler with some vintage Crager rims and need to install some longer wheel studs in the drums. The current 1' ones just clear the rims, not enough to be safe. I also figure it will be a good time to replace the reverse threads as well. I assume the studs I need are 1/2 thread, and i'll look for longer than 2" in length. But the question I have is: Whats the correct Knurl? The ones Ive found have a .685 knurl.. will this work on the tapered drums on a 63? Anyone know the answer? Or know a good source for new wheel studs?
