Per Rich Barber, suggest attack what is probably the most common reason for system failure as you describe; remove battery terminal for terminal connectd to the chassis. Then remove other cable end. Soak connections if necessary in baking soda/water mixture, dry and polish inside terminal. Sometimes better to remove battery if can be done safely and clean battery tray and battery case and clean and polish battery posts. When all this is accomplished, put everything back trhe way it was and the mystery problem normally disappears.
