Bill & all: I bought a pair for #3N551198 from: http://tinyurl.com/2p26te While the design looked a little strange in the box, they were easily attached, look quite nice and are holding up well. They are actually downward deflectors--the exhaust does not flow through the slotted openings. Part cast material and part polished stainless sheet. The extensions clamp to the tailpipe. I suggest additional screws and/or a tack weld. Other links, whose photos don't look quite the same, but very well may be. And, $10 cheaper, each. Still too much, but little choice. It would appear that perhaps some automotive supplier created and sold the same extensions to Chrysler in 1955 and Studebaker in 1956. Can anyone advise whether these exhaust extensions appeared on Chryslers other than 300's? Or, whether they were a dealer-installed accessory or have a case of the originals stashed away in dry storage? It would seem to be a reasonable thing for some of our creative reproducers to get a hold of an original and do a better job of replication. They actually add a lot to the appearance of the rear end of a C-300 or 300-B. http://www.1956goldenhawk.com/page5.htm For sale: AC-2754 Exhaust extension.
