RE: [Chrysler300] Chrysler 300s & California Black plates

As I understand things that go on in California, the plates stay with
the car even though you may have several different owners.  So a black
plated car has been in California since the black plate was put on the
car the first time.  So this would have been the 60's. And so you know
it is not a car from New Jersey, New York or elsewhere unless it was
brought to California early in it's life.

Hi Group

This might have been discussed before, but I don't recall.

Meaning no disrespect to anyone, as I am ignorant of this,
can anyone tell me what is the big significance to having these black
california plates? I hear about them all the time as if they make a car
value higher, but have never learned the reason why.

I purchased a few cars from CA over the years that came with black
plates, but I just chucked them into a box. Should I search for them?
