Antique Auto Radio in Florida did a '56 T&C Signal Seeker for me about 4 years ago and the seeker works fine. Their FM addition (I highly recommend) that you add) without the faceplate LED will keep it original looking. Also they put in a CD changer plug-in in case I wanted to put a player/changer hidden in the car. (Never did!) Maybe they do MP3 plug ins by now. With good FM, I think I would not do that either. My question is, will the searchtune feature still work ? I assume not, which is the reason I bought this guy in the first place. Maybe if I end up having it rebuilt, I'll have an input jack installed on the back so I can play an iPod-type device thru the original tube amp ! Radio is in excellent condition, except it doesn't work. The tubes don't even light up. Can anyone recommend a rebuilder that won't take me to the cleaners. Ron - would you like to convert that radio rto am/fm solid state and still have it look 100% original? I had my G radio done and the receptiion is absolutely great.
