MANY of the 300 only parts and pieces look to be there, and to
have been there for some time!!!  
It is possible that many years ago someone did do work on the
car, given the appearent condition one would almost expect to see
more visible rust out signs. IF they were fixed years back, that
might account for the vin tag situation.
