You are asking really difficult quantitative questions here. I wouldn't know how to answer myself. The interior sound deadener /seam sealer was applied by hand by multiple employees over plant shifts and time. The variety is endless. I'm going to attempt the answer as a light-ish coat over the interior floor sheet metal in both passenger compartment and trunk. I've seen cars where the applier stopped moving the sprayer that had puddles of the material that eventually dried and I've seen others where fairly broad areas were missed. Coat it to your own satisfaction. In my opinion the majority of the real sound deadening is accomplished by the undercoat application on the tire side of the wheel wells. After all, it is the tires generating the vast majority of the noise.
