Hi Mike; 2983 872 is not a good number. Often the number on the part will not be shown in the parts book as it's part of another assembly. 2983 862 is lamp wiring 876 is a cluster lamp (assembly with a socket and bulb) 877-78-79 are dome lamps Describe the "doodad", is it a black thingy with contacts inside and outside? Could be a socket for a panel light. These were sold with a bulb in them as an assembly under the 876 number, I think. Can someone out there with a parts book tell me what it is? Thanks !
