Transmission fluid. Jeff Carter advocates this since moly, lithium white grease, etc. dry out and can become hard pearls that get screwed up by the cable braid twisting motion and accumulate in the speedohead and cause hardened deposits that can cause gear wear and clicking/buzzing noises. Been there and done that and with my recent speedometer refurbishment and NOS cable we used transmission fluid as a lubricant without any problems. 300'ly, ROB KERN ----- Original Message ----- From: chy300l To: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, March 13, 2008 7:49 AM Subject: [Chrysler300] speedo cable lubricant Hi club members.
