I had similar issues with the rear windows on my 300C. It ended up being dry lube on the tracks, the track liners had slipped and dry grease in the gear motors. I had to take out the tracks, glass and motors to do an effective job. Use good grease when you re-do it--no WD40. Its not difficult but working conditions were pretty tight and the service manual was no help. Of course there were other things to play with in there, like cleaning the seats, trim panels, interior floor and front trunk floor. Also removing all the mud from the bottom of the panels and making new plastic weather sheets to fit under the trim panel. It was an all day job. I did a 2 page write up about it. Unfortunately it probably only applies to 57-59 rear glass. If anybody wants it send me an email. Jim Krausmann Detroit -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Jj" <vjhemi@xxxxxxxxxxx> Hi all, My newly purchased L has some issues with the rear power windows. you have to help them up and down with your other hand to open and close them. It's obvious this has occurred due to not being used enough and old age. Would it be best for me to take the door inner trim off and service them - ie wash and lubricate with teflon spray or grease? so far i have just tried to spray teflon spray down the gap onto the motor mechanism without success. I'm hesitant to pull trim off but perhaps i need to just bite the bullet!
