I actually have a pair of original factory copper coolant pipes from a G
that I acquired a number of years ago, an I just dug them out for a look.  
 
They do not appear to ever have been painted or covered with any wrapping or
other material, just left in their natural copper state.  If you would like
me to send you a digital photo of them, I'd be happy to do so.

Hi 300 Club members

I am working with the AC pipes and want to know if there was any insulation
material wrapped round the pipes or should they be bare.
I will be grateful if someone can help me with this.
