Hi Tomas, Could the valve adjustment be too tight, preventing them from sealing the cylinders? Maybe the valve adjustment was done with the lifters collapsed (assuming hydraulic lifter cam and assuming adjustable lifters), and as they filled with oil now the valves cannot seat. If the push rods were replaced, maybe the new ones are too long? I believe the older (pre-67) engines used a push rod with a taper on one end, with a lifter to match. If either the lifters or the push rods were changed without being matched together, might be a problem. Hard to believe improper valve timing would prevent ALL compression. How about a bad compression gauge?
