I'd agree with John that the lightest, least abrasive thing is always the way to start. While Windex is stronger than water (not by much!) I think I'd still use the Gibbs now because it has great preservative characteristics. Simichrome isn't abrasive - all chemical action. I think Naval Jelly also has no abrasives but it could dull something polished and that is why I mentioned it for corrosion. ----- Original Message ----- From: cotejohnr@xxxxxxx To: wgraefen@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ; dennis57300@xxxxxxx ; Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cc: garycampilongo@xxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, May 08, 2008 12:15 PM Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] Re:cleaning interior aluminum Wayne and all, Depending upon how fine or coarse the polish is, won't polishing change the patina of an anodized piece of aluminum to an appearance perhaps not originally intended. I've seen some interior pieces that look more like chrome than aluminum in the end. In my usual cautious state, I usually start with Windex and work my way up!! John Cote Guilford, CT.
