It was not intended as an attack toward you, or Aussie's, but merely an observation of irony and obscurity after reading some of the conversation surrounding the value of the cars. If you rule out timing, vacuum leaks, ignition, and valvetrain problems you shouldn't overlook the converter. Especially if it's a newer rebuilt unit. If they malfunction, (lock up too early basically) they're like a clutch that isn't completely disengaging. I have all the linkages and anti stall pot set according to factory specs. In order to avoid the stalling i change to neutral as I approach a stop, and the select D when I need to accellerate.
