Re: [Chrysler300] Need help to confirm ram manifold part numbers

The casting numbers were the same on the rams I checked. It appears that Chrysler just ground the pin off, as the boss is still there.

  Don,

Are the casting numbers different though? I believe that is the basic
  question.

  Hi All,
F & G Rams are not the same. Most F's have a pin on the ram for the carb
return spring. G's have a bracket that bolts to one of the carb studs for
the return spring. There is also some over lap on late F's using the G style
  rams.

  Kenny,

Those are the correct part numbers for the G & F rams. I would put a price
on a pair of naked rams, no chokes, carbs, linkage etc. at $500 to $1000 for
the pair. Look at them closely for signs of corrosion, if they are badly
corroded in the choke wells, or any place else, they can be repaired but it
all costs money. Pricing will follow condition. Just my opinion on the
price but that is what I have seen them go for. Yes, they are not a common
part, but they do seem to come up for sale often enough for someone that is
  looking.

Hello in 300 land! Hope everyone is enjoying their summer and driving those
  300's!

I have a request for those of you who are part-number-savvy. A guy I know
has a set of cross rams he wants to sell on ebay and asked me if I could
help confirm the year and model they're from. I've seen them, and they look
exactly like the rams on my 300G, but they're unpainted, probably
professionally bead blasted, as there are faint traces of red in a couple of
  places.

The part numbers stamped on them are 1947163 and 1947162. I'm thinking that
makes them 1960-era long rams for 300F (and for a G if my assumption is
correct that they're the same for F and G), but could have also been used on
a Dodge with D500 option or Plymouth.

Can anyone confirm all of this for me? Any idea what these might be worth?
No other parts present, just the ram manifolds, in very nice shape. Gotta be
a pretty rare find I'd think.

Thanks so much for your assistance.

  Happy motoring!

  Kenny
