Hi all, Got my "News Flite" yesterday. Of note is that there is a visit to the AACA Museum planned on Friday May 15th. I would like to call to your attention that there is a benefit to belonging to the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) other than receiving a really first class Antique Automobile Magazine 6 times a year. In addition to membership, you get free unlimited admission to the AACA Museum (with spouse) that in itself is worth $18. That leaves just a difference of $17 to get the benefits of membership in AACA. All the benefits including discounts on magazines, etc., are on the following link to membership, describes everything, and how to join. http://www.aaca.org/about/membership.aspx If your planning on attending the May 13-17th, 2009 Lancaster, Pennsylvania Spring meet, consider getting AACA membership to gain free member admission to the Museum and get all the perks for just $17 more. Another point of interest is that Florida 300 Club member David Broxterman's '55 C300 Yankee MVP car that belonged to Yankee Enos Slaughter was written up in the AACA Antique Automobile magazine for September/October 2008. The 4 page article, with many pictures, describes the history and how David acquired the car just 5 years ago. The trunk was locked and no one got into it until David got the car and found (via removal of the back seat!) a treasure chest of personal baseball memorabilia belonging to Enos Slaughter with documentation that the car was given to him in 1955. Plan now to attend the Spring Meet and consider joining AACA in advance of the meet. Maybe, when joining, you could request the issue above as your first AA issue.
