Dear group I know this issue has been up and discussed on several occassion but can´t find the proper reply when trying to search back in old info. Can someone pls repeat what, from modern use paint codes to use for 300 C air filter housings and valve covers. First of all is assumed they are possibly not the same and also that more than one could be a good match while more than one supplier was originally used. Info is for a friend about to paint his stuff and what I have used, LOTUS Sahara Desert Gold came out beautiful but a bit to bright after clear coat, and more like what was used in -58, again assumed that for -57 and especially for air filter housings is a darker shade of gold, towards bronze, used for the air filter housing. So anyone, pls repeat what is a proper match, in modern paint systems, to use when doing a -300 C air filter housings and the valve covers.
