Bill: Here is a repeat of what I had to do to get one horn working. There were enough rust flakes packed around the edge of the steel diaphragm to prevent it from vibrating when current was applied to the horn coil. I tried to get a 6-Volt trumpet horn on our C-300 going by flooding the body with Deep Creep or Kroil to no avail. I popped the hemi cap off to access the "works" and did some chipping and scraping of rust until the vibrating diaphragm was free at the center and around the edges and the points were filed smooth. Rust develops, flakes off and prevents the diaphragm from vibrating. I then fiddled with the tone adjusting screw with proper voltage attached until the thing started to work, then adjusted the tone screw for best volume and clarity and reassembled it. It continues to work well and provides a very satisfying two-tone blast. I hope this high-tech language tells the tale. Good luck so you can be doubly horny!
