RE: [Chrysler300] 300 G Mufflers

I had "Three Chamber" Flowmasters installed on my 1955 C-300 and am
satisfied with the moderate exhaust tone. The engine is the original 331
hemi with the factory "hot" cam. No tickets and no complaints from the
neighbors, so far. But, they are accurately described as non-stock by club
judges and demerits assigned. The original mufflers were pretty quiet and
quite a bit longer than the Flowmasters, requiring an extension.

Muffler shops can make adapters to any inlet and outlet tube diameter, but
it would be worth researching the diameters of the car's exhaust pipe and
tailpipe at the muffler and try and get a muffler that has the proper inlet
and outlet sizes or close.

I'm sure this has been discussed many times and I apologize for asking
again. I need to know which mufflers will give a deep "throaty" sound
without being too disturbing. Does flowmaster make one ? Appreciate any
help.
