Hi all: When I restored my F in 1996, no lip drains, built in late June 1960, I purchased the trunk weatherstripping from Gary Goers. Upon installing the weatherstripping, I could get into the trunk, close the lid and see out through between the lid and weatherstripping. I promptly removed the weatherstripping and determined that either the weatherstripping was too thin or the gutter was too deep. This problem was only at the base of the trunk opening. I filled the gutter with Chrysler's black rubber in a tube, placed the weatherstripping on the rubber, making sure it was making complete contact, let it set up for about 15 minutes, wiped off the excess, and then closed the lid and let it cure completely. I have a good tight seal and no signs of rust. Dan Reitz Northridge, CA 300F 1966 300 Vert. **************One site keeps you connected to all your email: AOL Mail, Gmail, and Yahoo Mail. Try it now.
