May 13-16, 2009 We are going to have a PARTY!!!! Hope to see you all in Lancaster, Tony Rinaldi- Meet Co-Host Tom Harkins- Meet Co-Host AACA Museum To Feature Record Setting 300-F ³Special² In April, of this year, our own Andy Mikonis interviewed Daytona Beach super star driver Gregg Ziegler, holder of the February, 1960 record setting 144.927 Mph average speed in the Flying Mile. The actual original 4-speed 300-F ³Special² is in pristine, original condition with only 11,000 miles on it. It has seen the light of day only a hand full of times since Gregg drove it back from Daytona in 1960. It has been stored in a climate controlled building. It sat on the same special low power absorbing Blue Streaks tires, provided by Goodyear, it raced on when it set the Flying Mile Record. Jeff Bliemeister, the curator of the AACA Museum, will feature the automobile, on Friday, May 15th, 2009 in honor of the visit from the members, family and friends of the Chrysler 300 Club, International, Inc. during the special AACA Tour/Luncheon visit portion of its 39th Annual Spring Meet, in Lancaster, PA. Gregg Ziegler plans to be available to share his experiences with this ³Holy Grail² of 300 Series Letter Cars. Larry Tarantolo, the current owner, has been instrumental in making this all possible.
