Unless the flash chrome has gone bad you get a much better shine with it still there. The chrome protects the stainless and gives added depth to the shine. If it has been ruined though you can take it to chrome shop to be removed and then be replated or mechanically remove it and buff the piece. Could of course just have plating shop remove it and then you or they polish it. ----- Original Message ----- From: <cotejohnr@xxxxxxx> To: <tdcox@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, February 28, 2009 7:59 PM Subject: Re: [Chrysler300] 300F Hubcaps > > Tom, > It is probably "Flash Chrome" which should be able to be removed by a > stainless buffing specialist that must buff through the finish. > John Cote > Guilford, CT. > > > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Thomas Cox <tdcox@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Sat, 28 Feb 2009 7:29 pm > Subject: [Chrysler300] 300F Hubcaps > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have many hub caps for the 300F and find that all of them have a film on > them that is very difficult to remove.
